Ephesians 5:1-2 ESV
Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
As Christians, people of Christ, God's beloved children, our duty is to imitate God and Christ. To imitate Christ, we are to walk in love: kind, caring, patient, forbearant, humble, gracious. We imitate God by studying and practicing His Word. That's our duty before God and Christ.
