Matthew 7:6 ESV

Do not give dogs what is holy, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you.

Not everyone will appreciate right & holy & precious things. The dogs do not know what is holy. They are habitual minded. They follow their habits and their master's order whether it's right or wrong. The pigs do not know what is precious. They are carnal minded. They follow their fleshly desires - the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the vanity of life. These people do not care about the spiritual truth that leads to life. If we try to press it on them, they will get angry and turn to attack us.

Of course, it is wrong to label someone as dog or pig. But there is a dog & pig in everyone, just whether they are big or small. We should be discerning to see if these dog & pig minds are awake or asleep. If they are controlling a person, we best avoid making that person angry. If they are open & sober minded, we can talk.
