Matthew 6:14-15 ESV

For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you,  but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

We all have sinned, trespass the law of God and offend / hurt other people from time to time. The book of James says whatever we know good to do, and not do, is sim. We get angry with other people because they offend us, cause us harm & hurt, or simply not helping us in our difficulty. Nevertheless, we also do the same to many people. So we all sin against each other and against God.

Instead of bearing grudge against each other, God commands us to forgive each other, let bygone be bygone, and be caring & patient & kind toward each other.  That's the way we ought to live as children of God, created in His image.
